800 watts

Tossing the idea of a super-structure built in the regressionist style, (small)..out to some interns today, and lots of buts, and TVs, and room for stuff, and such...dealing with a market segment of such infinitely small proportions is at times challenging. I have made a commitment to spend time each day building(sic) on tiny amount of existing momentum,. Lets not get distracted here and go off to that place where everyone says goodmorning to the guy/gal next door and offers them a cup of coffee and a bagette, even if there is a 100 windturbines rotating, at any given moment, at the edge of town......

Been Caught Stealin

Getting run by any towns "Finest" always throws a damp rag on my groove no matter how subtle and polite the shakedown comes off....I play the odds with high stakes considering how vulnerable and in the open I actually am most nights when i go down..Ive been sleeping behind a long large FOR SALE banner strung out on a railing in front of an empty building on mainstreet. The only thing between me and the traffic has been the banner..concealing yet damn near nekked on three sides. Figures the night I'm not feeling bold, and opt for a more contained environ i get skewered by a random John Q. sighting.

concrete pillar

its interesting when i think about the numerous places my head and body have spent the evening..my head is generally resting on my red "hoodie' pillow, and my body seems to fit a hard flat surface with no complaints. Sleep is restful and its always a good thing to wake to an eyeful of stars..Orion is out now and its taken me awhile to adjust to the mid continent shift sky time ( as opposed to "The West).. I got moving this morning with orion about a foot above the horizon, and when i got to the gym it was only 4:30 AM..

Menu for today

Ok, so and but it's not any secret, that I am doing the whole go back to school when Im 50,(well 49, I 'm just getting used to saying half a century) on a tiny almost non-existant, (well ok totally non-existant) budget, and but a guy has to eat and perform all functions generally associated with a scholastic tainted life situation, while at the same time being duty bound to sustain latter life situation in/with/to some degree of enviromental consciousness....and operating all the while with a random sense of F.U.R., (Flying Under the Radar) and or complete ambiguity in most daily non-academic activities ie. food, love, shelter. With this I am grateful for my previous experience in Benson, AZ and the routine sampling of food stuffs secured from the dumpster, (aka Freegan Dining) behind Safeway in the early A.M.. By applying the same covert yet blatant, (broad daylight) routine I have been able to eat a well balanced, healthy meal, each day with zero impact on the waste stream and zero carbon expended to secure said foodstuffs. Tah Dah!

Summerain

The Super Cells in the Oklahoma sky at mid-afternoon seem wholesome, in place, an integral occurence that is almost soothing when not a complete site to behold. Perhaps that is why I could laugh as I ran last nite, amongst the flashes of lightining and the horizontal rain that soaked me thru. I ran and laughed because I am a part of it as well..I am disambigual, no longer a placeless entity caught up in the motion of a sparse existence. They ask me, (students and faculty) where I am from?, where is home? I want so much to tell them, with a soft tonal surety that; I Am Home.

Dodge Polara

I realized today what it was about Weatherford, OK that I could not quite put my finger on..There is an undercurrent of meekness flowing thru town. Humble deposits of thrift lay scattered, and visible at every intersection, like potholes with tiny signs next to them apologizing for any inconvienence they might have caused, a testimony to the politeness that is woven into the fabric that blankets the entire community. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to experience the rude, obnoxious, affluent populace of suburban St. Louis. They red-lined my contrast-O-meter.....

On Bare Ground

My appreciation, for things..just random things like ice-cream, lite-switches, and soft pillows; appears to have increased, (the appreciation) over the duration of my extended dislodgement from them..however, I found that waking to raindrops in your face, (or mine) and thunder claps rattling the ground also increases ones, (mine) level of emulsification, and that... (depending on the petroleum based quantifier) is something to write home about.

MONDO THANKS

I have to thank the spirit of all that has been these past weeks for guiding and directing me and teaching me to shut-up and listen, to have faith in myself and other human beings, and for the small bits of empathy and compassion I was able to experience and apply in my walk..I have been given a wonderful gift today..Thank-You

Fillerup

The good ol boys were comparing inches in rain guages this morning at coffee. Those who did not empty them after watering the lawn had 5 and most other reports were in the 3-4 inch category. I did the math, and it is still raining..Weatherford, OK. is the home of SWOSU and classes start tomorrow..I guess summers over( for the kids) now, seems a shame since I waited all winter for it to get here. The entire town is surrounded by windturbines. I can see them rotating in the distance from the campus..its like being held hostage by the future.

Road Grime

I can see the trucks from a distance, hunched-up in the rain, rumbling across the overpass in a shroud of momentum..I look down at my feet..soggy, and back up to the trucks (in the distance) where I stood earlier, before it started raining, and it occurred to me (random insight) that I had been up there standing with nothing between me and the hurtling masses but an outstretched thumb..I dunno, it was as if, the thought had never occurred to me (in that context ) before, and if one thought about it long enuf, it could scare the living crap out of oneself..

Bancroft rule

Emulsifier..(also known as emulgent) a substance which stabilizes an emulsion. Now all I have to do is find my related colloids...Scraping the bottom of the bowl for applicable adjectives to enhance my descriptive voice. Today; great, cool, wonderful, seem inappropriate, in a subdued context..In this corridor of green (Tennessee) the level of immersion i have attained leaves me wringing my vocabularic towel for droplets of expression worthy of conveyance.

On Two Feet

Humbled..standing at the edge of an Odyssey, on my own two feet, secure, serene, East to West trajectory, blazing orange rising, full, muted, pock-marked orb setting, crunch of gravel, rolling out an audible WELCOME mat. I am at peace.

Discipline

The future is going up in three-hundred foot increments out on the cap-rock in New Mexico. I am headed there in a few days to write a story on windfarming. I also plan on developing an E-mag to put the story in along with others that come up along the way. A subtle course change from when I left Dragoon 3 wks ago. Boston is an amazing city and has a few stories to tell. I was blessed the entire trip.
